WHO IS BARRY?
Barry is the first mobile service supplying electricity. The vision is to make electricity fun, fair and easy. Hoping to lead the way for smarter energy consumption of electricity.
Increasing brand awareness, with a low cost of 1,5 kr. pr. person who watched 40 sec. of the main video.
Barry needed to drive sign-ups to a waiting list before the launch of its app, and that had to be done in a Danish Electricity Sector which is known for being non-transparent.
Fun and down-to-earth social media content which speaks to entrepreneurs’ and tech geeks’ reality of trial-and-error - which no other energy company has done before.
The video works with three main elements: A guy experimenting on a basketball court, fast-paced texts and composed-from-scratch music. The fast-paced text made sure that we kept the viewer’s attention for more than the usual 7 sec.
The video was cut in 12 different versions for us to be able to A/B test how different messages, lengths and formats performed on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube - and then optimize according to data.

Barry only paid 1,5 kr. for a person to watch 40 sec of the video (full length: 65 sec). People who watched more than 40 sec., were then exposed for the next of content in Barry’s customer journey, which explained more about who Barry is.
